The A Land Remembered Multimedia Show is going to be in Florida this month! If you haven’t been to one of my shows, now is your chance. Audiences all over Florida have raved about my show about my father, Patrick D. Smith, and his beloved books, like A Land Remembered. I call the show Patrick Smith’s Florida IS A Land Remembered. It isn’t a stuffy “lecture” or a “talk.” I call it visual storytelling and it’s a fun, fast-paced and entertaining “show!”

Interested in Florida history? Check out these other books.

While A Land Remembered is a key theme of my show, in order to understand what led him to write this book l also talk about the other books that were important steps in his writing career. In my opinion, every one of them is a gem and this is the best possible way to meet the author and understand his work more deeply as I take the stage with this multimedia show about him and the extraordinary experiences that enabled him to write such unforgettable stories about the “river rats” of Mississippi (The River is Home), the Seminoles of South Florida (Forever Island and Allapattah), the plight of migrant workers (Angel City) and ultimately, the pioneers so accurately portrayed in A Land Remembered.

I love taking this show on the road and I hope to meet you along the way in November 2017. Below the schedule of where the A Land Remembered tour will be. Good Morning Rick , clearly you have to many request and oh so little time … I last saw you at the Leesburg Florida ( Lake County ) Library . That is a wonderful venue with plenty of free parking immediately next door. Your presentation of your Dad’s life and writings was outstanding . My wife’s family and mine have been in Florida since the late 1800’s . I am hopeful you can slip Lake County into your schedule … if you do I will make sure to invite at least 100 people from my contact list that are native Floridians or wanna be’s … LOL …and encourage them to attend ………. A Land Remembered is always present on our home bookshelf if it is not being read by a visitor . I tell every new person I meet about your Dad , you and A Land Remembered . All the Best , Wayne

Come to Jacksonville Fl. There are many places that will host you and a lot of interest. I can give you some ideas for venues.

    1. I’d love to return to Jacksonville. Your ideas are welcome.

    how long is the presentation?
do you have plans to be in the Orlando area?
I belong to several groups that I can ask if you would be interested in speaking to them.

    1. Glenn,

I can run a presentation from 45 minutes to 70 minutes depending on what the venue wants. The closest I am getting to Orlando this time is Cocoa Beach. There are several openings in March still so the Orlando area is a possibility then. I would be interested in your ideas for groups.
